Stable Free Max4Live Random Setting Device?
I currently use Abletion 9.6 and in the past have tried a few randomize preset devices built in M4L

However I often had serious issues with them crashing live or really not working at all. And yeah I get that's the norm with home brewed devices.

Basically looking for a midi patch randomized that can be dropped into a track to randomize another M4L and or Ableton device, like operator or reverb.

Anything you use that does the trick without too much flakiness?

I too have had bad luck w Device Randomizers.

If anyone has some insight it would be super appreciated!

From what I understand, you want randomized midi and CV for a few controls in various parts of your effects chain?
I don't use ableton or M4L, but if I were going to do that in FL studio, I'd just fire up a few random LFOs (using fruity peak controller) on a dedicated channel and use them to control the parameters in question. For midi, I think we have some randomizing functions in the piano roll, you might too. If not, I'd try some (free) arpeggiator VSTs as they might have some randomization function for midi. I used bluearp for a bit, but I don't know if it would do that or not. I am pretty sure, however, you can step-edit (and possibly randomize) the velocity and/or pan of the midi, which could help with some FX randomization if they were velocity sensitive.

Re: Stable Free Max4Live Random Setting Device?
Thanks WN, however I'm looking for a "randomize" patch device. Not realtime midi/cv changes.

In my mind I'd love a little device with a ?, ! And a parameter lock drop down field.

? = minor patch change, just moving each parameter slightly.
! = random patch change, everything gets changed/adjusted wildly.
Lock = select to lock a parameter like the devices main volume out

When it comes to VSTs I use Bidule for this, but for native Live devices and Max4Live devices things get tricky/flaky.
