Re: [In Flames Worship] Agent Slimepunk - Into The Flaming Fire
I guess I'll be the outlier and say while the riffs themselves sound good, I thought as a song it was really boring. It's got a couple of cool but similar riffs that you beat to death for three minutes. There's zero dynamics and even the riffs are really just variations on the same theme. While some vocals might break up the monotony, I don't think they'd turn this into a song I'd want to listen to.
What I'd do, were I you, is take some of these cool riffs and combine them with some of the other cool riffs you've posted and make an entire song that has actual changes and dynamics and parts that aren't so similar. You seem to write a thing, and then change it a bit and call that another thing, and just do those similar things in a row and call it done. Taking the best parts from the various things you've posted and figuring out how they work together seems like a great way to make something varied and interesting and non-boring.
I do think the drums are really on point and your mix is great, as is your playing. The song itself isn't horrible, I just think it could be a lot more interesting.
