Unearthed from the ashes of of the worldwide bass music explosion, the community driven IDMf Beat Tape label brings you Bass Anthropology. Like Dubstep itself, Bass Anthropology not only explores sounds from the past, but listens forward to the future. With the aid of roiling basslines, syncopated riddims, and deep vibes, this recently resurrected medicine man will take you on a mental journey through a realm that exists only after midnight and below 100hz. It's bassweight. It's Bass Anthropology.
Im looking for people to collaborate with on artistic projects. I am currently looking for a couple artists who can draw very well that want to work on a comic book
Very cool tracks. Wish the whole thing was longer, it seems like a single length release. Maybe there can be a part II and some more tracks can get finished if they didn't in time for this. Maybe some others will pop up on the Listening Booth.
I like Qianta - Sandeep the most despite it being so short. Would really like to hear that expanded. That filtered pluck sounds huge.
The last track has the most traditional dubby sound I think. I'm curious of the artist, Whole Lotta Wub. Is that somebody or just a name somebody made up for their submission.
And really, thanks for picking my track. I like the mastering of it. Sounds very much keeping the mix sound with some better boosting in the bass. Better than when I mastered it. Don't have good bass monitoring. It's a weird deep bass. Along with the drums it all has a bit of a live acoustic sound.
Shit I was just listening to it again today, looks like MILLIWAY'S track called WHOLE LOTTA WUB is around the wrong way
So yeah, you guys might want to change that around I guess
Also I'd just liek to say these tracks are really fucking growing on me lol. Like when I listened to all the submissions it didn't feel nearly as legit I suppose as when it's all together. I'm so glad the release actually cohered with what Relic and I originally had in mind as the theme of the tape (early 00's dubstep etc). Really really pleased with this release
