THE CHALLENGE, THE RULES, THE MACHINE
Here's how it works;
The machine will generate a hybrid, possibly abominable, composite genres by fusing two together, and this will be done and recorded three times. Then the challenger will select one of the three genres to execute. After said genre is selected the challenger takes his weapon of choice (THAT'S YOUR DAW) and goes one on one with the beast (THE GENRE, THAT MEANS TO MAKE A SHORT TRACK OF THE GENRE)
The challenger then operates the machine himself three times and records the genres for the next challenger.
In a non condescending and more formal way of speaking: 1. Choose one previously generated genre from previous poster's post. 2. make a song of the genre 8. upload and record three other randomly generated genres for the next poster.
Alright, instruction's out of the way.
Rules, guidelines, anomalies
Some genre choices are literal repeats. Though unlikely,
if you encounter a "repeat" (Such as Ambient Ambient, Funk Funk, or PsyPsyfunk),
simply roll again. Some results may be exclusively singular, deal with these however you wish.
Some genre choices may seem impossible, boring or redundant in a
production or stylistic standpoint.
For example, One may roll Black Metal, or Dub Percussive,
you are strongly encouraged to try to the best of your abilities,
if you have tried and it is indeed impossible for you, roll again.
Some genres may seem descriptively abstract or unclear. (Ex:IBeat,Skyrave,
CosmicExperimental,OccultOrchestra,Binaural Funk,DeathBody Music
. . . These are my favorites. x D )
Take it upon yourself to put definition into it, use your imagination!
Some genres may not be electronic at all. (Ex:Live Folk). Refer back to
the stylistically impossible, and don't be afraid to bend the rules.
(Such as, if it IS live folk or CyberImprov, or Hardcore Blues,
it doesn't necessarily have to be entirely true -- synthesize a
guitar and vox if you have to.)
If I'm missing some genres or styles, please feel free to notify me!
-Keep tracks somewhat short

-Be inspired by it!
