Guitar rig belly aching

So I want to start by saying that I really like guitar rig like a lot!
And the sounds are great, it took me a while to get my head around the GUI as opposed to bias fx, that I have on my iPad, because it isn't as obvious imo. It's not left to right like a set of pedals, but whatever, I got figured out no problem.

That said it really is nothing more than a studio tool. There is no easy way to play a track end to end while using different effects on different parts etc. I am finding it hard to jam along to drums I have programmed in my octatrack because i don't have an easy way of changing the sound, shy of getting a foot controller, which is off the cards as of now, due to space and money being saved for other stuff.
I know, first world problem, and there is likely a way to set up automation of effects turning on and off in live, but that's my rant for today! :badger:

Re: Guitar rig belly aching

I'm not sure how to do it in Live unfortunately, but in FL Studio there is a "last tweaked" option that allows you to automate any parameter on any VST with a mouse drawn curve along the timeline.

I'm on a road trip ATM I'll respond to this when I get home.

Short version, everything in it is midi programmable.

Stuff like this always makes me wish that the Rig Kontrol wasn't discontinued:

Re: Guitar rig belly aching

I use my FCB1010 for switching effects when jamming - I'm sure you could use any MIDI controller. As Chase said, all the parameters are programmable, including the presets.

As for how to do it:

This is actually the same as my long version, I didn't know it needed any expansion.

Not to my knowledge, but that doesn't mean I am not.
