Such feeds on much back! And many a thanks for your scientific listening.
In my defense I was woefully under-caffeinated at the time. It was all I could do to not drool on my keyboard. I did like the combo of mechanical drums and percussion with the slightly ambient chord progressions. But dat wooshing. I listened to the track 3 times in a row just for that
I like, and that swoosh sounds is cool, surprisingly not repetitive or tiring even though it's constant throughout. Th eonly part I didn't care too much for was the bass, it felt a little too dissonant to me.
I'll preface this by saying I'm listening on a fabulously shitty bluetooth speaker I keep at work.
Re the whistling sound: ironically I just did something akin to this for the 60hz Underground comp. I like it. I'd like to hear the drums punch through it a bit more perhaps.
The transition that starts around 3 min in is pretty dissonant, which I think is the point, but arrangement wise I think that part of the song needs the most work. I'd like it a bit smoother harmonically speaking. It immediately strikes me as "oh, wow, those aren't the right notes". That being said, maybe that is the point as I know your musical taste ;p And I do like where it ends up going after the "clashing" elements stop clashing.
"Ambient Industrial" more like..I, too, like the swoosh..swoosh is indeed cool. More swoosh..swoosh for everyone!
No..really liked this..can honestly say I would like it even more if I were stoned listening to this..but that's not to be right now.
Apologies for not offering more erudite feedback..but I enjoyed it too much as it is to go pulling it apart after the fact. That's not much good to you, I guess..but take some small comfort away with ya knowing you work was and is really liked.
