The guy from Synapscape? Never heard his solo stuff, but I love Synapscape. Going to have to check that out.
Yes! Now I think that his solo stuff should not necessarily be in this list, because it doesn't sound much as orphx, but It's definitely worth checking out. I'm a big fan of Synapscape too! They have just released an album did you see? I saw on their facebook page.

I absolutely love Orphx, and am lucky to have seen them live many times. I can tell you they transfer their hypnotic rhythms to stage better than most, they bring a laptop, groovebox, effects and a modular on stage and send you on a journey you won't forget. They also have a large back catalogue which is quality through and through. The synthesist Christina Sealey has talked in documentaries about how they work and how they develop their music, look up on youtube. It is clear they are serious about their craft and for me their music is so complete and made with integrity.
If you like Orphx, also check fellow Canadian Vromb. His new album is incredible, but they are all amazing. He also uses a modular for some of his sound, and creates a hypnotic building rhythmscape much like Orphx. Also an amazing live performer.
Final recommendation is Morgenstern. Noisier, with more distortion and compression, and some noise, but very rhythmic and hypnotic in places. Go to the ant zen label website for more music in this genre
I want to listen to Orphx's stuff some time, I will eventually, I head a bit of Radiotherapy on YouTube completely by accident and they definitely sounded likesomething I could like
