Re: What sampler should I get?

The AKAI MPX's are getting horrendous reviews online, they sound practically unworkable.

Damn, really?
Ah, the old days of getting whatever the local pawn shop had available are over, taking it home and spending a few weeks figuring it out are gone.

I mean at 15, it doesn't really matter, just get a roland box and learn that one piece inside and out. You can always use it later when you get a bigger setup, tied into a DAW.

Re: What sampler should I get?

I own the mpc4000 emu e4xt, ensoniq asrx and i can easily say that the emu e4xt is the most important sampler. I still use it almost daily, it sounds spectacular and is much deeper than akai & ensoniq.
