Nice chilled arps. I'm unsure about the bass drum - its nice 'n' heavy but if you want this to be more relaxed it could probably be turned down a bit, at least in the first half of the track anyway. After the 3 minute mark it doesn't seem quite so obtrusive because of everything around it.

Makes me want to play Command & Conquer Generals again

Oooh that bit at 3:03 is jolly good. Nice chord-iness.

Like most good chillout, this is good background music for whatever I'm doing. Nice work

Re: [Progressive?] Endless Plane - Bloom

What Roo said. You might want to try something like fading in that bass drum from the start, so it builds up in the mix, while giving the rest of the elements a chance to set the stage..and have the bass drum hit it's high around the one minute mark. I know Ross said it all comes together around the 3 min mark..as in you don't really notice it all that much from that point, with everything else going on in the mix..but I think letting it have it's own space form the star of the first minute is just as good.

That's it really..nothing else to add, other than I really enjoyed this..nice chilled vibe to it and fits the day we're having here right now, too.

Thanks for sharing.

Hmm, didn't ever notice that about the bass drum, but I've generally been partial to loud kicks. I do see your point though, and is definitely something I will play around with if I open this project up again.

Thanks! I like the idea about the fade in... I think I might actually go that route.

Re: [Progressive?] Endless Plane - Bloom

Very nice track, I really enjoyed the sound and melodies.
All sounds are really soft and pleasing, I really like the overall feeling it gives.
I also really enjoyed the harmony and melodies, all good!

Maybe I would have enjoyed some quieter part here and there to create some contrast in the track and make it less linear, but apart from that it's very cool.

Cheers,

Luc

Gorgeous upload, particularly from 3:04 onwards. To my ears every element sat well in the mix.
I would have liked it to last a bit longer. For an added euphoric feeling I was half expecting complimentary/harmonic sustained strings to drop in around the 4:30 mark, or perhaps at the break (5:00), and then build for a reprise. But maybe that's just me being greedy!
Nice one.

Thank you! I was worried it was going too long. I like the idea of strings though. Could be a nice dimensional element.

Cool Besides chiptune, I don't really know what constitutes "game music" because it can be so varied. But I like video games, so that comment is cool with me Thanks!
