[Romantic/Experimental] Lyra 4 Solo track

An improvised piece using Soma's LYRA 4 organismic synth
I'm trying to use this instrument in the most harmonious way possible, but also trying to go along it's unique character and feel.
I've only had it for a couple days (by the time I recorded this), so it will become better with time, but this piece, in my opinion, shows some promise, and also in my opinion, shows that beside its experimental character, at first glance, this instrument is definitely capable of romantic oriented music and harmonies.

I hope you enjoy it

Lyra 4 by itself, no post FX (other than the usual light limiting/compressing/eq'ing before audio export of course, it did saturate at some rare points tho)

Wow what a lively and organic sound from the box. Almost like screaming stringed instrument at some points.

Although how is it romantic?
Or what is romantic music to you?

thanks, this is a very good question actually

I qualify some music I do as "romantic" because it is heavily influenced by romantic and neo romantic composers such as Wagner, Bruckner, Mahler or Sibelius for example.

I've had a period in my life when I was doing nothing but working on interpretations of such music on the piano, and since then, the way I compose and create has been constantly going in that kind of sensitivity and direction. I guess you could replace "romantic" by "dramatic", the idea is to tell a story and communicate feelings in a dramatic, a little bit over the top way (not especially obvious in all my compositions)
