New material from The Knife

Had a little look around and couldn't see that anyone else had posted this so I thought I would.

I got tickets last week to see The Knife in London in May (EXCITED). They hadn't released anything apart from a title when I got the tickets, but being The Knife, I knew when buying them that it will be one helluva show.

Anyway, they've uploaded a new track, along with a fantastic video, coming in at just under 10 minutes. It's a very new direction (though it seems in line with their natural progression) but I think it's totally awesome.

There was a maaad rush for tickets, I think I got pretty lucky.

Can't wait for their album. I'm a bit scared for it to be a dissapointment.. their debut album was that good that it is hard to defeat. I really hope they'll prove me wrong.

Great track and nice video.

Not sure whether I like the amateurish touch on the video but the apparently message in the video intrigues me. It's about fetishes, that's for sure. But it seems like they try to show a fetish is something not meant for people in your surrounding but that it must be a great relief to let it in the open?

the new track sounds inspired by Skinny Puppy or Ohgr - not a bad thing, but had almost forgotten that sound - Excited for the new stuff myself

I'll always like the Knife and I'm sure their new album will be great, but I really love the direction of Fever Ray and want to see that project evolve instead.

Epic! Thanks for putting that up. Liking the new sound. Reminds me a bit of 90s underworld, long sprawling electro. Can also hear the similarity with ohgr that magnsun mentioned. i'm excited 4 the new album
