Techno starts with a capital 'T', as in TB-303 and TR-808.

Fundamental frequencies usually sit between 170Hz and 1200Hz or something. There can be harmonics up to 5k however. I wouldn't brickwall eq it. Rather focus on what notes are played and in what octave.

I just kicked it out of the song in my signature, no matter what frequency I put it it doesnt fit coz its all busy with other bunch of stuff, guitar just making it all muddy.

Thanks for the try buddy.

Cheers, the song sounds cool (can't say much else since listening to it through a phone speaker atm).

Re: Where should be acustic guitar in EDM?

You could always sidechain the conflicting elements to push them out of the way when the guitar is playing. Sometimes it takes methods a bit more heavy-handed than EQ to make it all fit in a song. I've sidechained 3 arpeggios against each other, my lead against a huge pad, and my lead against a really full-range bass.

It's a good track. It really starts so abruptly... But then it starts to swing))

Re: Where should be acustic guitar in EDM?

If it's a double-tracked guitar, pan them hard left/right and hipass/lopass around 100hz/10,000khz, maybe narrow cuts in the 4khz range if needed. If the guitars are taking up too much midrange that another sound source needs, cut there a bit. Nothing drastic. Usually helps just to cut between 1 and 3 dBs with a medium to high bandwidth. If you were unlucky enough to end up with a single tracked guitar, try doubling it using a doubler or just copy/paste until you have two instances of the same guitar track on two tracks, then push one wavform over about 10-20 milliseconds and pan them out hard left/right. Should work to at least give it a chorus-like effect and it won't be down the middle. guitars down the middle always fuck with the snare and vocals too much.
