Ok, ok, I know you said VST, but when I hear the words distortion and Industrial together I can't help thinking of the WMD Geiger Counter. I bought one sometime ago and I found it absolutely amazing! It has tons of different flavours of distortion!

Big +1 to this... lately I've been using Guitar Rig on just about everything. The name really can (wrongly) steer people away, but the thing is just a giant semi-modular toolbox of effects and amp/cabinet emulations. It has so many ways to create distortion I haven't even tried them all... so much fun just loading up racks and especially when you start playing with the modulators (it has LFO's and envelopes, etc, that can be quickly routed to modulate any other parameters in the rack; very similar in spirit to using Reason's rack and cabling a bunch of devices together).
there are also some good distortion units in the Reaktor user library, too...
thanx for the inputs
i think in the reaktor user base there is some metasonix that sound wicked
the audio trauma and geiger counter of WMD seems cool also
what do you think of trash II de Izotope
Okay I havent written any music for agggggges, but guitar rig is a mainstay for my distortion needs. I also really like using the parallel busses in the fl studio mixer to create nicely tuned distortion on stuff like claps
I use Trash 2, Ohmicide, pedals in Guitar Rig 5/Amplitude 3 and plenty of real pedals from EQ Devices, Way Huge, etc. I'd say the combination of Trash 2 and Ohmicide would cover most your distortion needs unless you are a true distortion connoisseur/collector.
