I couldn't find a thread for this after noticing a number of people mentioning this style lately. So..

Re: your favorite Trip-hop songs

I really like decent trip-hop

Here's a classic that I've listened to again lately:

Mutually-Assured Survival is preferred.

Fraid I can't post links yet, but these are all well worth your time:

Anomie Belle - Cascade
Honeyroot - State of Mind
Tipper - Tear Strips off
Leftfield - Original
Hibernation - Taking Shape (maybe not quite trip hop, but a fantastic track)

Re: your favorite Trip-hop songs

Massive Attack - Karmacoma,
Morcheeba - Enjoy the Ride,
Emancipator - Anthem,
Blockhead - Triptych Pt 1.

Not the most underground songs but hot damn if they aren't iconic to me.

Re: your favorite Trip-hop songs

One of my favorite genres for hanging out, low key events etc.

pretty much most of Thievery Corporation. Pretty Lights amps it up a notch. Kruder & Dorfmeister and Morcheeba. Early Hooverphonic.

Here are some standout tracks, imho

The build and that sick groove. Still really fresh.

From the wonky bass to the chopped up vocals everything fits just so well.

Listen a lot to this album when I first started dating my wife. With her cuddled up. Good memories.

Gotta list St Germain!

Almost forgot this gem.

Really terrific track.

Techno starts with a capital 'T', as in TB-303 and TR-808.

Really terrific track.
Nice to see some Nightmares on Wax. I actually ended up being George Evelyn's live drummer for N.O.W back in 2010. Good times.
