Help needed: bass sound design

Here is a clip with two bass sounds taken from two tracks I like. I was wondering if you could help with recreating the sounds?

Re: Help needed: bass sound design

Hey guys, 170 views and no one has a good idea how to re-create those?

First one I am getting closer on with two slightly detuned square waves using two filters. First is a LP 12 dB med hi res and second is a slightly wider static 18 dB LP and a quick pitch modulation envelope on both OSC. Chorus and reverb for color. It's not spot on, though.

Re: Help needed: bass sound design

Sounds like you've got the right idea on the first one. Just a matter of tuning it in. Id probably try to get it bang on with as little effects as possible. Also Probably would only use one filter.

Second one sounds like a Rhodes sample to me.

Btw I'm listening with my phone up against my ear, so no promises.

detuned and filtered square, probs sigtly distorted after, almost every vst has presets like this, usually named "phat bassline" or similar

Re: Help needed: bass sound design

The first one sounds like a solved problem, that second one...

To me, it sounds like a saw or square (not sure which) distorted (multi-band with a focus on the upper-mids?), reverbed (or delayed, I sometimes get delay effects out of a reverb or vice versa), and then low-passed at the end of the chain (maybe a slight key tracking adjustment, but I'm not sure).
