I've tried different synths from time to time but I always go back to Native Instruments Massive. I'm aware of some slight negativity towards it because of how it may be easy to spot a sound made with it(or maybe I'm wrong), but I feel that it's very flexible and can always make the sound I'm looking for.
How do you feel about Massive? Hate it, love it? Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole? Should I not use it for every sound?

good synth but very overused and slightly over rated and yea lern other synths and form of synthasis to youll feel a well better sense pf accomplishment
I think the hate, if that's what it really is, has more to do with over-using presets than it has to do with the synth itself. There's nothing wrong with Massive..it's a really solid synth..use it as much as you want or like and don't worry too much about what others think. If a sound works for you..preset or not..then use it.
Hating on massive is pretty rediculous tbh. It has a huge (massive? Heh ) sound pallete. It can get most types of sounds you can imagine, and with a little effort, they will sit in your tracks very well. It does have a particular sound, but people was overstate the significance of that fact. Only thing hat has ever bothered me is running out of mod slots, but that could be a blessing to keep me from tweaking forever. I think people are just ignorantly thinking the only thing it's good for is dub basses.
Even though I like Serum better (it's like Massive II!), Massive is great for keeping your CPU in check, if you dig the sounds.
If massive had sampling abilities similar to Alchemy, I think it would be my go-to for nearly everything. Otherwise, I find my ears getting tired of anything I can conjure up with it.
Massive's just a tool. A good tool at that. Any tool that you can use to make your tracks sound better is a good tool. The only people who really care are the tools who think they're too cool to use it.
Anyways, as others have said, you shouldn't worry too much about what others are saying.
