What's wrong with the MMC that runs Task Scheduler?

Re: Windows Task Scheduler Viewer (freeware)

Approach with caution unless you know what you are doing, can end up ging down a rabbit hole and creating more issues than you began with.

Personally check out Blackvipers page for an understanding :

Saying that, nowadays, there's little point with modern systems in having stopping too much running. Unless you install a load of crap you dont need.

Re: Windows Task Scheduler Viewer (freeware)

Stereocogburn: This is just designed to be easier to read and navigate. It actually has fewer features than the default which is a full editor. This is just for quick disables/enables as far as I know. Everything is on a single window and there are some menu options.

MFX is right about disabling stuff with caution, but I'm not sure if the BlackViper page lists Scheduled Tasks. I think instead it only lists Services. But you can still search for info about Tasks online.

Disabling unneeded Scheduled Tasks is a part of Windows DAW optimizations that sometimes gets overlooked because it was totally unnecessary in Windows XP, so it's not part of the "tradition" for older OSes.
