I'm not a bitwig user either, I'm just the only one at the office who could take on learning how to write control scripts in javascript using their API.
At least it's good stuff for the portfolio.

But this is actually really interesting. JavaScript would be great for working with audio objects. I can't believe I've never thought of this

Ah yeah the W3SChools! I'll update that this afternoon when I head in. Thanks for the heads up!

I've had a good time learning JS to make my controllers do cool shit in Bitwig, so it is a lot of fun. You don't actually get to do much with Audio, other than controlling devices, and controlling the DAW etc. I haven't found any scripting implementation that let's you jump into the audio thread yet. And with good reason, unless that shit is rock solid, sloppy programming could just crash you all day (meaning I would be crashing all day )

The next one will focus on implementing some functions for controlling BWS in interesting ways.
