Making youtube tutorials - what screen/audio capture software?
I know a few of you are making videos for youtube and I was curious on knowing the easiest way to do so.
Currently I do not have a mic, so mainly I just want to capture the audio from my Presonus interface while running ableton and of course the screen, though I have run into issues with attempting to do this in the past where ableton and the video capture software couldnt access/use the same audio device/driver.
Any tips / tricks / software suggestions to get this done in the box with out the need of another laptop/camera/mic setup?

I use Camtasia to record both my voice (via a mic), screen and system audio. One thing to note though is Camtasia doesn't support ASIO drivers for some weird reason.

I use Debut Video Capture (you can see it flashing on my crappy tutorials). It lets you try it like 20 times before it makes you buy it, so that's pretty cool, I think.

I've had the same problem...always. I can't access my interfaces audio with the screen capturing software. I record the audio in my DAW and line it up with the video later. Camtasia has some nice post-editing tool like zoom, pan, callouts etc, but some of those free tools in the link above look quite decent too.

Hey there,
I personally just use quicktime for screen recording and soundflower to virtually route all my audio together. For PC though, I would look into [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click here to register] for the audio. I'm not sure which screen capture software would be best. I haven't been using PC as a workstation for some time now; just as a gaming/media set up. Hope that helps!

I used OBS - open source broadcaster - for making my vids for youtube, or for streaming, I also used live stream way back before it was really a thing...
