Christoph de Babalon

Anyone else digging this guy? Such an amazing breakbeat-artist. His debut from 1997 was mind bowing for me when it came, and everything hes done since has been almost up to par.

His stuff (except the debut album) is on bandcamp for those interested.

Re: Christoph de Babalon

Funny, I'm not really that much into his first album, although considered a classic and way ahead of its time by many. However, I loooove all his more recent output. Gloomy, moody, ominous industrial, with hints of breakcore. That shit is right up my alley. A Bond with Sorrow, A World of My Own, Traumspiel. Wonderful stuff.

Saw him play in Berlin a few years ago. Totally amazing. Hope he makes it through California someday, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Re: Christoph de Babalon

This was recently posted on his FB-page:

"The first Volume of 'The Haunting Past of Christoph de Babalon (1993-1999)' will be out in August 2014. Some tracks for the first time properly mastered, others have never been released before. More info very soon!"

Great news!
