What would you consider to be a good entry-level breakcore artist (or album)?

Im currently trying to convert my friend (or at least get him remotely interested in) some of the harder types of electronic music out there, and imo breakcore is just about as hard as it gets before turning into Merzbow. So im looking for a somewhat less intense entry level thing I could send him to listen to, I know his a huge metal fan so Drumcorps crossed my mind but im not too sure. Anyway, suggestions?

If he is a metal fan already, I would highly recommend Igorrr. French artist mixing breakcore, death metal and baroque music. Awesome mix, great artist.
For some less intense stuff I would recommend some good ol' Aphex Twin (the druqs album has some nice soft stuff) or Venetian Snares' Szamár Madár

U-Ziq - Lunatic Harness.

Definitely on the softer side of things but it's one of the best IDM / Breakcore records out there. Also it came out loooooooooooooong before making that stuff was as accessible as it is today.

if he's a metal fan, although metal comes in many forms, Igorrr would definitely be appreciated.

I'm thinking Ruby My Dear, too, since he's on the intricate side of breakcore rather than the distorted beating. The [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click here to register]

Not quite breakcore, but you should probably listen to everything by Fanu. He had a few free albums up on his bandcamp page I think.

I would say something like µ-ziq or squarepusher myself, but if you want something from metal -> breakcore, I'd rather suggest something like bong-ra or drop the lime

Don't forget about Enduser! Defo has a lot of stuff that's not completely off the wall crazy,
not sure about the "huge metal fan" going for it, but no harm in trying!
