I'm certainly moving towards a more HW driven performance, but god damnit if Live isnt like.... the best sequencer for it.
oh, and sampler, and drum machine, and host for video content, and fx processor and... and... and...

Akai mpdx8...benefit is that they are dirt cheap, but loading times are ridiculously long (I think it's as long as the sample itself is) and there's a design flaw where cables come in/out of every side of the box which makes it take up far more space than it should.
