your tutorials are extremely helpful and clear, i'd like to thank you for them. i was a little bit confused on how you got the string and flute sounds in the first place. i know you sliced them to midi, but where were they from initially?
also, have you thought about doing a tutorial of a balam acab track? would be very interesting.

Aphex Twin takes 12 minutes to make but dubstep only takes 5. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Fucking brilliant !!
Another way to get nice idm-ish rolls.. Load up a drum rack, then use the loop length on hits, draw a nice envelope.. And you got yourself a custom drill/roll/whatever.. Not to say it's better or anything, just wanted to share my method..
i don't get the point in making a tutorial to show you how to make someone else's music.
I think the best way to learn composition is by deconstructing someone else's music. You don't need to do the same thing or not even the same style. You can in alternative just get what's going on, the basic concepts, to apply in general music.
