Does anyone have a lesson in techno music

Mean General principles
And something more interesting. For example techno synth is built on the same note, but we have to adjust the timbre of the synth with Lfo

Re: Does anyone have a lesson in techno music

Automate the length of the reverb on a synth so that it goes from small reverb to very big reverb.

This video at first is kind of annoying bc the guy is like "just smash your fingers around on a keyboard and BOOM... techno bass line"

But, once you play around with the idea it is actually pretty well suited for discovering quick bass lines, hooks and pulsating rhythms, which is what techno is all about.

and there is this too:

If it's general principles you're after, maybe it doesn't have to be a techno-specific mixing guide.

EQ the kick so when it's played live it feels like someone is repeatedly punching you in the guts 120 times a minute.
