Ways around Soundcloud's "Spotlight"
So I am considering ending my ProPlanExtraPlusMega account on Cloudsound. And with that I can expect to wave goodbye to the spotlight feature. Anyone find a way around not having a spotlight? Because it does provide the benefit of cleaning up and highlighting your best work at the top.
I have thought of two ways...
1. Make everything private on your brofile EXCEPT for the stuff you want at the top, and then circulate what you want at the top.
PRO keep stats (not that I care about this); avoid upload time.
CON miss out on keeping your own page quite so active.
B. Delete everything and start afresh. Only ever upload 3/4 of your best work (old or new), and again, circulate.
PRO keep your own page more active as you regularly upload new tracks, and then replace them with reuploaded older tracks that have not been up for a while and that some followers might have missed out on. Keep a regular, monthly circulation of tracks; save your upload limit time hours.
CON lots of uploading/upload time; Lose stats.
So with either of these ways, you have something good and new to focus on at the top. And both ways allow for a cleaner profile. Unless you're a repost whore.
