I'm from the Chicago area! DnB (Pendulum) is what first got me into electronic music, but since then I have trouble finding any consistent drum & bass producers :/ nobody does it like they used to it seems
North end of the UK in Manchester area. Essentially it's an advantageous place really to be in regarding this end of the spectrum as this area has it's own style in itself which has gotten more popular over recent years. We have the likes of Chimpo, Dub Physix bringing the unique percussive but minimal sounding raw DnB. Wasn't originally my thing but I've grown to really like this sort of thing and its become synonymous with the area and doing well.
Personally I love the fusions of various styles within this scene and do like a cross between this organic darker minimal stuff and the technier neuro end of the spectrum. Noisia recently worked on something with Ivy lab to create something far more minimal than usual, bordering on grime/hiphop but at DnB speed. I like the gritty edge though that they bring to it all.
I'm supposed to be going to some record shop party happening tomorrow which is going on all day till night and Roni Size is apparently playing at some point. Hoping to see that.
I'm from Connecticut/New York, United States I used to be a Drum & Bass DJ/Mixing Artist since 1994. Now I just produce my own Ambient/Chill-Out/Downtempo tracks. I am working on some Ambient Jungle/Drum & Bass tracks as well.
