sidechaining the kick in ableton

Does anyon know if it is possible to sidechain one element in an instrument in ableton? For example I have a pad sample in ableton and a redrum from reason rewired into ableton. You can attach a compressor to the simper pad and sidechain in the whole rewire device, but not specifically the kick by itself, does anyone know if this is possible?

Re: sidechaining the kick in ableton

if it's a rewire input, then no.

Can your split the outputs from reason, make the kick isolated there? that'd be best.

Or jsut make a rack with two chain, hipass one part jsut above where you want cut by the sidechain, then the other chain hav lowpassed down to jsut the part to you sidechained.

Yeah just route teh kick separate and use Live's compressor which doesn't need special routings or anything, if you didn't already know that I mean The grey arrow next to the on/off

Simper and Seperite sounds like carbonated beverages.
