Ok, it is on. Grab a good (or even better, bad) mic, record some noise / sound samples and upload them for our growing community of junk noise heads to make their own junk noise out of. You can label them appropriately, or not, as there are no rules and this is purely for fun. Hell, you can make your own rules, how cool is that?
This is a great idea! So, after you get x number of submissions, are you going to mix them together and release it as one track, or several? In fact, I was just wondering on what to do for a random project, and you just made my day! (I'm getting on this right meow.)

Oh no, like everyone's take on the samples we come up with (assuming we all make a track out of them) get put onto a hopefully extensive free release. There will be a lot of time before the release though, to make sure everybody who wanted to be a part of this can get a song on the comp if they wish to do so. There is no set time for any of this, but at the end of it I'll just need a .wav copy from those who want to be on the release. I'm still coming up with a way to compile everyone's sample material, but maybe with everyone's permission I could host them on a dropbox / bandcamp page.
Also, the more sample material we each come up with, the better. Essentially we'll all be giving to the same sample pack and making a song out of the same sample pack that we all created. I think it's cooler than just one artist making all of the samples themselves. I'm going to contribute a ton, but if someone just makes a few short samples it makes the same impact for the idea as a whole. It makes sense in my head, but it might not look so good / as coherent when written!
Cool idea, I'd be interested, I won't be able to contribute since I have no mic atm.. but I would like to produce something out of this with the samples
if you guys are interested, I have a paid mediafire account, I could create a public folder for that purpose where everyone could upload/download freely

I like this idea, and I would probably contribute.

Why have guidelines? Anyone can make whatever they want, but the rough idea was junk noise... so I kind of hope for beard scratching samples tbh.
Oh, I mean that it would be nice if the samples were reasonably short and sweet.
Yes, I totally agree with this. You can stream/listen from the mediafire folder.
The least people should do is cut and slice their samples and not have a random 4 minutes recordings and things, just squeeze the good juice and upload them seperatly.
