How to make the slow down effect at the end of a synth like in Levels?

I know i can resample it and just add slow downs at the end, but is there any way to do it without resampling?

Slow down effect?

You mean slow down in frequency?

You can use pitch pitch manipulation. Whatever ways your particular synth does this. Try a pitch envelope? What synth do you use?

Its called a tape stop effect. Plug-in like effectrix,Glitch, and gross beat can accomplish that with automation. I think ableton may have a built-in one.

Re: How to make the slow down effect at the end of a synth like in Levels?

Bounce your synth line to audio ("bounce in place" option), select the fade tool, draw in the desired fade, right click on it and select "slow down" or something similar.

Just use a bloody pitchbend? Automate the pitchbend parameter and blammo.but honestly, why not work in audio? It's way more convenient?

It's called pitch envelope. Also known as tape stop (as mentioned above..or below).
There are many ways to achieve pitch envelope.

That is the latest overused EDM sound that I never want to hear ever again. It's in a million different songs holy cow.

Well its simply just a pitchbend so its never going to go away its been in music forever but I know what you mean I've heard that same levels style pitchdown in about a trillion tracks since levels.
