LOL, I actually got my name from my favourite Reaktor fx ensemble and yes its called GrainBastard
Its not publicly available for a few reasons, mainly that its too confusing to use and if you get it wrong, its pretty scary and I would never ever knowingly release something to my fellow musicians that could potentially damage their hearing. I know I could issue warnings etc but the nature of Reaktor (for me anyway) is you end up with shitloads of stuff and sometimes browse back thru the oddities and you don't always remember the 'problems' associated with them. I have tried cleaning the code and interface up to make it safe but I ain't really good enough or got the time. As its 'father' I know it inside out thru trial and error and its heavily reliant on the right range of settings for the type of material its being fed. If you like the effect its doing on some percussion it usually means that bass thru it will be loud and nasty - not always, but a lot of the time - too risky for me to release. As a person who wears glasses and monitors on headphones a bit, I know the feeling of pain in the ear followed by the crazy flinch to remove the headphones, which in turn throws your glasses across the room to be mashed into whatever is lying around!!! Blind and deaf ain't my idea of a good effect.....
So having attempted to justify my reasons for not sharing, I just realised that the best it could possibly be voted is errr, 1, so I just typed that shit for no real reason....
So I vote for the EnFx ensemble in Electronic Instruments Vol 1.
btw, so I didn't totally waste my time with the above typing, if anyone is interested, 'GrainBastard' is based on the grain delay section from the V4 Newscool ensemble. Basically I took it apart and added extra controls and parameters to its internals and added a few sequencers to automate somestuff and a song position macro which keeps it synced in SX2. If your looking for a granular mangler starting point for buggering about in reaktor with use that newscool delay as a start and turn it into an effect is a good start imo.
do you remember the 'Al Capone etc' ensamble in the all reaktor ensambles pack?
it's a real time granulizer, you run every kind of audio source into it and it poops out wiked stuff, you can draw the envelops lines and also the waveform in real time
i went crazy for it! unfortunately on mac intel i can't find it anymore
huh? that's pretty funny, it's my very first day in this forum and i find an ensemble of mine in a reaktor fx poll!? seems, it's time to make an update, uh?

It's about time ! Your ens has many die-hard fans i think..
I tend to like the glitchier ones and granular stuff, though the3 comps and verbs listed here are all really great. I also like when the effects can double as an instrument. Metaphysical Function should be added to this list. As should Fast FX.
I have my own I use a lot, too, though these also double as an instrument or an effect. CHOPSOKKIT GRAINDRAIN TAPESPOON
