Yeah you could probably come back to this later and expand on it, give some variation to it as it does feel a little 'loopy' at times. It's got a cool vibe though, and those high-pitched synthy sounds that finish it off at the end are a nice touch. Looking forward to the rest of your fawm tracks.

thanks scyn!!
this is all a big learning experience, especially with FM. i played around with lotsa different ideas but it was taxing and was wasting time
im glad you think it can be revisited though.. as it were pumping out fully fleshed out tracks at this pace is something i am probably not capable of.
Yeah, I don't like the idea of FAWM at all, it should at least be like 8 tracks instead of 14 O.o. There are people that put out 2 EPs a year or an lp every other year and that's considered prolific. Meh.
I didn't realize it was for FAWM. I would say that changes things, but you should still come back to it and revisit it. I really don't think there's enough. There's nothing wrong with what you have so far, which is why i suggested expanding on it. But you have 13 other tracks to make in 4 weeks so GLHF
probably sounds like shit but fuck it onto the next one
ill just post the rest in here if thats okay. i am fawm noob :bye:
Yessssss. FAWM cherry popped
And yes, fuck it and on to the next! That is the FAWM spirit. You can refine 'em later.
That drum bus is slamming man. Nice job. And the really wide, skanking shaker is badass. I'm really growing tired of hi hats. That kinda crunchy, modulated resonant synth is nice.
Some parts of this kinda remind me of the Chemical Brothers a bit. but then at the bridge/change up it changes to a darker vibe.
Yeah, W..great first track for FAWM..keep it up, dude. Nice one. Like the guys said already..do come back to this one later at some stage and give it your full attention..it deserves it.
1: Very filtered beat in the beginning reminds me of Gabriel or Nails. Really dig that froggy synth and the variations on the beat. Progresses nicely and gets pretty dark/foreboding harmonically. Lots of great delay work. Buildup at the end is refreshing.
2: Another great filtered beat intro, love that stuff. Sound is chilled and nicely processed, well arranged. Great minimal chilled ambient.
I agree with what Boretron about the second track..really chill piece of excellent work, W..liked it a lot. In fact, I think it's perfect as is and I wouldn't do anything else to it..let it stand the way it is. Nice one.
thanks you guise!! im gonna sit down and have a go at yalls toons in a bit. i just got an interview (sweet!), but it shouldnt hamper my fawming
the workflow now is basically 2 tracks at once bouncing between the two for inspiration until i settle on one. it worked well for the second track, doing it that way
i feel like a fuckin martian rock dweller for not actually listening to boards of canada. pretty tits, im surprised how similar it sounds to my head shit. my inspiration for the second track was actually loreena mckennitt
