Again, a nice Chaotix track. Digging the vocal snippets and that tinge of world beats. And you finished the track ;-)
How is Maschine working out for you?
Thanks dude. I use it mostly in ableton so it gets limited use to be honest. I try to use it as much as possible cause it did cost a lot haha. I just can't get down with making ideas in the maschine software then importing all the audio out to Ableton constantly.
It feels like I'm going backwards doing that. Unfortunately, the pads don't feel as great in ableton as they do in maschine either. There seems to be a bit of lag on them. Maybe that's a setting I'm missing?
I still like opening it up and jamming on it from time to time though just to practice
Thanks man, I have maybe a few bucks though Artist Intelligence agency, but that's about it haha.
The workflow I found to suit me is to put the entire track together in Maschine and then run it as a slave within my DAW (Logic) as a 16 channel audio source. I trigger scene progression via MIDI notes and record each source within its own audio track.
For that purpose I add each scene, even repeating ones, to the Maschine software and then merely trigger and record. Much of the gain staging I also do within Maschine. That way I only work in Maschine during composing and arranging. I crack open the DAW only when it comes time to bounce stuff.
Techno starts with a capital 'T', as in TB-303 and TR-808.
