Well its hard to find artists that are similar to these guys (since they are so unique), but check out a guy called Christ.. (Not sure if you know about him already)
The name is short for Christopher Horne. I believe he used to be a part of Boards of Canada (well thats what I have read). He has music that is similar in style. You will like him.

Life without music would be no life at all
Die hard fan of Boards of Canada since 1998:banana:
Everyone loves Tycho but to me he's just a blatant BoC rip-off (albeit a good one).
You might like Bibio. His album on Warp, "Ambivalence Avenue" is pretty beat-oriented, but his album on Mush from the same year, "Vignetting the Compost", is wonderfully nostalgic and warbly like BoC, but really quite distinct (not very electronic, though, tbh).

YES! Fi and Handcranked are really amazing albums too.
a few years ago I released some music for a friend on my netlabel, listening to his tracks always makes me think of boc. (especially a track called Try)
hey if your still wanting something that sounds like boards of canada, i recommend two squarepusher songs: tommib and iambic 9 poetry. it isn't considered ambient really, but i feel these songs have a really fucking emotional thing about it that also is present in a ton of boards songs.
