This track is being made using only clock samples. I am using TONNES of effects & layering... Going for a progressive dubby feel without a set track length, I think my computer is going to give up on this before I am though. Anyway, hope you enjoy the listen & thanks for any feedback

There some great ambiences in there and the depth variation with the sounds using the effects works really well. Almost your own Beat Battle Like it.
Thanks mate! Yeah the current beat battle inspired this line of thought, along with a few other of the threads on IDMf. Thought I'd turn the difficulty up by limiting myself to purely ticking samples, quite chuffed how it's turning out... Might make a few more tracks like this at different tempos. Still toying about trying to create a wobbly/glitchy bass without destroying the ambience entirely... fun fun fun :mayonesa:
you have great access to someones grandfather clock ha lol? that some wonky stuff, extremely powerful and extremely well mixed to me.
I'd love to sample a proper grandfather clock! I actually remember finding the chiming soothing as a child. All these samples are from NI's Maschine stock sounds though I think. Not 100% sure as my sample folders have sort of shuffled themselves over time.
Glad you enjoyed the mix & thanks for encouragement.
This is just great, sphere. You did manage some incredible stuff on the sound design, it must've been an awesome moment of serendipity when you pulled those dub lasers and toms out of tic tocs. I love the combination of electronic elements and processings and the clickety quality of the original sample. It all works together so well in this dark and dubby atmosphere.
