someone offered me to make " 12-14 sounds-a-like Armin van Buuren" don't know how to get shit done with my workflow and forced creative process, also i have no idea with business side of music
and what price should i put on them ?
I would DEFINITELY require some money up front. Also, I'd want to see his website, and some info on how much web traffic he gets. The least I would do an entire album for on demand would be... 1k? that's a lot of work.
Make your first offer high and require like.. 10% . (somebody might have a better number) up front.
"my idea is to release it as an album under your artist name and the same tracks unlimited times as compilation with fictional artist names"
what kind of business plan is this?
also, he seems just made soundcloud account to contact you. Isn't that suspicious? I mean, his soundcloud name is user[numbers]. He's probably PMing everyone in a row and offering totally not some type of pyramid scheme.
Too much to chuckle at with this incident. I love that not only is it a scam but your replies are awesomely awkward. Three word replies lol. Way to get to know the customer haha.
man of few words.
I'm sorry, D42, but I have to share this PM to prove my point. This also sums up that thread you made recently where you got rejected on fb by your favourite artist after asking them to remix your music (thread got deleted?)
Still wondering why such things happen? Such abrupt one liners seem like you give zero fucks, especially when you're asking someone to do something for you as a favour. You're asking for their time and effort but seem not doing much of that by yourself. You contact them, people contacting you... Bring up something more rather than "yeh ok" or "pls remix". People might think you're trolling them.
