I'm kind of scratching my head at this. Regardless of whether or not you like the music or not, Daveed Diggs' flow is objectively above average: the intro tracks and "Story 2" prove that.
The new album has some tracks that are less noisy than others ("Work Work", "Story 2", and "Inside Out" are all pretty noise free) but there's definitely some abrasive stuff on there ("Intro", "Body and Blood", "Or Die", "Williams Mix"). Overall, I kind of love both albums equally. The old one is more aggressive and experimental but the new one has A LOT more variety and better lyrics.
So yeah, for me midcity and CLPNNG are about equal as excellent albums.
