His tracks clearly don't sound alike, I just listened to about six of them a little while ago. I mean, they're not great and didn't change my life, but they're actually decent. 'Faxing Berlin' is pretty good.
yeah i dont like his deadmau5 music but i think the guy from that blog is completely twisted in the head if he thinks that is some slur or insult to him? or any of his fucking business whatsoever?
if i paint pictures you dont like and everyone elses likes them and i get rich....you start abusing me...haha its only one thing "Jealousy" which is actually common place in this world and somewhat normalised by the way we justify and discuss it ie: "yeah but all his tracks sound the same thats wrong" ...how is that wrong? food for thought.
I completely agree, if doing what he does makes him and his fans happy, then good for them.
If you don't like it, then just don't listen to it.
Seriously, what's the point in talking shit? I can understand if you're only voicing your opinion but to send him hate mail and all that jazz, that just seems a little ludicrous.
I saw Deamau5 a few weeks back at Global Dance Festival in Denver, CO. That man put on a great show. Yeah played pretty just his stuff, but he is a colorful character that appears to be passionate about music, and his music which i think is great.
Yeah some of his stuff sound very similar, but if he likes it, and you like it, what's the problem? I like his stuff and therefor I don't mind they have the same vibes. I think his stuff is UNIQUE and brings a spacey, 80's future sound IMO.
If he can make a living off creating music that people (including me) can dance to and jam to, then more power to him. Everyone wants to survive of their passions. It's not positive to hate on someone because they have succeeded.
Kinds words from the people of Beatport. Deadmau5 has had a stream of awards and nominations to entice him to create more of his hard to describe music. His sound covers all genres, with samples of techno, a pinch of house and flirtatious elements of electro.
His next EP 'Dr. Funkenstein' will be available in two weeks time (25-08-2008)
