my first complete pd patch, a keymasher featuring stutter (with granular pitch adjustment), gater, reverse effect, bitcrush, modulated combfilter and a tape stop effect.
load a sample in the demonstration sampler, adjust the bpm in "global" and have fun using the qwertz-keys on your keyboard (i used a german keyboard, that's why it's not "qwerty").
comments and suggestions would be welcome!
oh no, reaktor has it's advantages in relation to pd, especially in workflow, gui performance and usage within host apps - and it's very stable.
but pd is a very powerful tool and has it's strengths too. it's much more flexible than reaktor and has an obvious logic.
but i'd never wanted to replace one with the other, i really love both programs.
but if you never used pd, i'd strongly recommend it to you - for the very reason it's free software. you won't regret it, i think.
I've already downloaded few months ago, but i kinda feel it's too heavy for me at this moment, considering now i feel very comfortable with Reaktor. But, when i think i'm 'ready' to start from the bottom again, i definitely will get into it too.
I've been just starting out with Pd. So far, impressed, but it's a lot of reading just to get going. I can't wait to become more proficient and comfortable using it. A Keymashing patch is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks.

Yeah, I got it up and running no problem. Thank you. Also, I have downloaded that book as well as four others. Reading them is another matter (that's a lot of words!). I do have my work cut out for me, but it seems to be worthwhile.

I love how you can overlay the effects (Stutter with comb filter)
The only thing I noticed a bit of a delay with the comb filter and it sometimes sent it out of time, but its not really a problem.
I was wondering if you could tell me how to create both the stutter and gate effects. A link to some tutorial on it would be great. I couldnt find anything on obiwannabe's site.
You have done a good work. Just share with me that how you do this gate effects. I am trying but couldn't get success. I know the stutter effect but really not knowing this gate effect. I t would be much beneficial for my next projects.
