Malicious website.

Malwarebytes is constantly blocking something on here. Every page sometimes twice a page.

Is it just an ad maybe?

I don't know how to look into what is being blocked, it just shows an IP address on the pop up warning.

Re: Malicious website.

I've also gotten some strangeness lately. It says "unsecured scripting, don't you want to continue?" on my smartphone. On the computer there is the constant rotating "loading page icon" in Firefox, apparently something about Dropbox (I can't see the whole url).

What's the IP? Maybe the admins can figure something out.

Re: Malicious website.

Huh, interesting. Could be anything from an advertisement to an image (or something else?) that someone is using in their signature? If you can grab the IP and send it to one of the admins they can cross-reference it with our userbase maybe, but it's tough to determine the key issue without more specifics.

Re: Malicious website.

It happens actually on many other sites. Ebay, Weather.com, some other forums, various online stores. Not on Yahoo, Facebook, IMDB though. I don't go to many regular sites.

I see some posts on Malwarebytes forum. The posts always go through the routine of posting scan logs and downloaded 2-3 cleaners, posting more logs etc.

Maybe I'll try on that forum.

The warning shows 162.210.192.22 being blocked outgoing.

Wanted to see if anyone else gets it.

Re: Malicious website.

No it's something in Firefox I think. I just tried IE and I don't get it.

Firefox has that adBlock thing that's a bit confusing with custom filters and such.

I'll bet Malwarebytes is blocking something there. Could even be blocking some report going out from Firefox.

Re: Malicious website.

Punch me in the balls please.
Fixed as looking at some odd ad related add-ons in Firefox that actually say that they may cause problems.

Don't know why they were there. Should check now and then to see if something is added I don't want,

It's funny though how much trouble some go on the Malwarebytes forum on both sides.

Woah, that's annoying and unwanted and what the fuck. Never seen that on my chrome on idmf before.
Might be some kind of malware doing that?

Re: Malicious website.

I never got that. My problem was the Firefox extension I was unaware of.

no script gives me a potential hijack when trying to click around the play button on someones soundcloud music link. I notice if i move it around i find a sweet spot where it doesn't do that.

Scan your pc. Seems you have an infection / check what extensions you've got installed.

I would not rely on just this... It might come back next time you restart your computer. If it's some malware that's actually rpetty likely as it probably has itself installed in some relatively hidden location and will reinstall itself after a restart. I would suggest you get a decent anti-virus/malware program and scan your PC.

Re: Malicious website.

^Yeah, I scanned it a couple of days ago when this shit started, and indeed it found some malicious software or whatever (some trojan I think it was) and deleted it, but it didn't fix it. I guess it was browser related? dunno...

Porn. wadja gonna do.

Mothafucka.... you're right, just restarted and it's back again.

I have microsoft security, is it good enough? I'll run it now again.

I run Avast! free version and do the occasional scan with malwarebytes and spybot s&d. Never had any problems.

I would not rely on that. Some malware takes some manual cleaning up too. You could try searching on google and see if others have had that malware as well and were able to remove it.

You could also try Antivir. It's free. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click here to register]
