Re: [FAWMtronica] Boretorn's FAWM tracks??
The intro to this was a bit hip hop meets 8 bit for me. But then of course quickly turned into something not quite that. I just remember a lot of my favorite 90s hip hop would use these General MIDI sounds. Kick fits quite nicely. Really love how you have all these synth sounds working together. How many patches do you have sequenced and working together?

Nice work, dude. Not my usual fair, but I appreciate it all the same.
Funny though..for some reason, while listening, I kept getting this mental image of Ron Jeremy running around, dressed as Mario..go figure.

Definitely like it buddy. Have you thought about making game music before? I could see this playing on a level while I lost all my lives. :p

Yeah, I tend to make a habit of keeping in touch with a handful of indie game developers, pushing to compose for them.
Edit: Something is apparently wrong with dropbox so I will upload to my server.
UGUUU
All should be well.

Re: [FAWMtronica] Boretorn's FAWM tracks??
Haha. Fuck yes dude. Just fuck yes
Dirty, slow groove. And that flute-ish sound is a fantastic touch. Nice change up at a little less than a minute. When it looses the atmosphere, the reverb, it kinda looses the vibe for me. It gets too clean. Keep it durty, son. : )
EDIT: ok actually that flute is just far out.

Re: [FAWMtronica] Boretorn's FAWM tracks??
1 - reminds me of something from the hl2 soundtrack. love the 303 acid bass. probably my favorite element of the track. also the kick in this track sounds really good; punchy but soft and deep all at the same time. is it a sample or synth?
2 - definitely has an analord aphexy vibe. love the bass in this as well. good progression throughout. really hoping the rest of your fawm is stuff in the same vein as this kind of stuff

Re: [FAWMtronica] Boretorn's FAWM tracks??
Track 2 has a cool quirkiness to it & I dig the way those 8-bit'ish sounds contrast with that sustained reverb-ey flute-like sound. Makes me want to stand in the middle of the room and move around in strange ways.

for some reason i love the stabbs its so 90s. the delayed bit is so chill and builds really well going into the bridgy part
i really like the snare too haha. all the shakers and taps are funky too. actually funky is the best way to put the whole thing

Track 03..not really my thing, B..but it seems pretty well put together to me. Perhaps some of the guys will offer some more helpful comments..or just comment..that would be nice, too.
