Funny thing about this thread is I've never heard the rest of the song, only the drop. Nice to hear the whole thing finally. Very interesting how he made it.

He is pretty talented I think. I love the clock noise that he uses too in the beginning going into the melody.

Thanks for this. This kid is underappreciated just because he mainly makes Big Room House. That clock thing was a good example of thinking outside the box and making the most of audio manipulation.

Re: making of "Animals" by martin garrix

Weirdest song ever. Drop is the worst part of the song but gives people exactly what they want, which is what makes it the part of the song people remember.

That intro bassline goes down waaaay smother than those stabs and 4/4 hardstyle kick IMO.

I hardly doubt that it is, considering most remakes use a percussion hit from the Vengeance Essentials Club vol. 3 which sounds just like it with EQ'ing and reverb. Martin Garrix also uses FL Studio, not Ableton Live.

EDIT: Pack name, got VEC3 and VEC2 mixed up, lel.

Re: The making of "Animals" by Martin Garrix

I'm not a huge fan of his work, mainly because I think it all sounds very similar. However I think it's unfortunate how much hate he's been getting lately. He is a talented producer who clearly knows how to producer music at a professional sounding level. I think big room is a fad that was predestined to be short lived to be honest, and I think if Martin wanted he could push electro house in a newer and fresher direction.

It's easy to talk shit about Garrix, and I'm not a huge fan of his music either, but he produces very cleanly

You gotta admit
