Went for a quick cruise around my neighbourhood yesterday, it was wet and muddy in spots but damn did it feel good : )

Warm weather is just around the corner, very excited.

Re: The skateboard thread

I'm riding a Creature P2 deck, Bones 53mm Skate Park Formula wheels, Bones Super Reds bearings and Tensor Ultra-light trucks. Really enjoying this new setup with the wheels, deck, and bearings, plenty fast and plenty of pop. These P2 decks are suppose to be pretty durable too, we'll see how that goes been skating it for only a week or two now.

I thought this was gonna be a skateboard thread, not a "skateboard" thread. I am disappointed.

Not to sound like a drama queen, but skateboarding defined me. It gave me confidence, not just on the board. I miss it. Me and my friends like to sit around drinking and bbq'ing, getting fat and talking about how we used to do this and that. We always promise eachother we are going to get out to the park or the pool and start up again, and we usually do, for about ten minutes. Then we become winded, or need to go to the store for another tall can. Oh, how I miss those good ol' days. Anywho. I think even tho it's a bit wet outside, maybe I'll just go for a push around the block real quick

sorry about the massive pic! not sure why the cell does that...

It's a huge part of my life, though I started skating in my late 20s. Still trying to drop in on a ramp but I'm always doing something and I have no intention of stopping any time soon. Longboards are quite a good way to get back into skating, I know a few guys who skated in the 70/80s who stopped, but now longboard because it's a little less impact heavy than street/park/vert.

anyway, these are my two current favourite boards (out of 6), topmount speed board for the gnarly hills and a double kicked pool/tech-slide board for general fun

Actually I'm riding those same wheels, only I have them in 56 mm. What do you think? They were a bit too fast at times, it was hard to ride up to coping without flying out, ha. It took a long time to break my board in, since I usually haven't had to deal with everything all new at once. New trucks are the worst for me, the response is horrible. When I was younger I used to just ride my indys how they came, now that I'm older I have to really tighten them up. I had a pair of those tensors back in the day... Do they still have that plastic piece that makes nose/tails slides smoother?

It took me three years to drop in on a ramp, it is an intimidating thing, for sure. But, looks like you are bombing hills and mountain boarding, so not like you are missing all of the fun anyway

That second skateboard is interesting looking, maybe it's just the angle but it looks like it has some wild concave to it. Yeah, I have been wanting a long board, I just haven't seen one that I like when I've had the money, I'm pretty picky. I want something that I would still be able to ollie with, but with the response, stability and speed of a longboard, nothing like carving when you are flying on those things!

Re: The skateboard thread

Yeah, the twin kick board has some aggressive tub concave to lock your feet in. It was designed as tech slider, the kind of skating sergio yuppie does... It's still versatile enough that you can do a bit of street skating, and the slightly longer wb and extra width make it a bit more stable at speed.

Re: The skateboard thread

nice... it's hard for me to find a board with a wide enough wheel base. You can even tell just from the frontside air, my stance is a bit wide at times..

Re: The skateboard thread

theyre my favorite wheels yet, definitely faster so I gotta brake a little sometimes. my first coping attempt after getting these on I flew over and bailed lol. still trying to adapt to the new speed and size

Re: The skateboard thread

Fuck man, I havn't stepped on a skateboard in probably 6 months. It's depressing, honestly. I told myself that I would ride a ton this summer but those are just sweet sweet lies. I don't find enjoyment in it anymore I guess. I love snowboarding though. Last time I rode was spring break though. I hate summer, spring and fall. I just want snow.
