ASIO routing/Audio Interface Issue

Hey all,

I'm having an issue with my Akai Professional EIE audio interface, but I don't think that it's the audio interface that's the issue. My studio is set up with a television acting as a monitor, and the ASIO drivers are routing the audio through the HDMI connection by default. I need to reroute that audio to play out through my speakers. I don't appear have an audio out on my television and that's not the way it should be done anyhow.

Plugging 1/4" into the back of the EIE wasn't producing sound, neither was the headphone jack. The EIE does appear in the ASIO4ALL device list, and it is enabled, but it plays out through the television. Any advice would be deeply, deeply appreciated. I've been racking my brain over this for ages.

Re: ASIO routing/Audio Interface Issue

Your monitor is connected via HDMI to your computer and your Akai is connected via USB.

What DAW are you working in? Are you using ASIO drivers specific to that device or are you using ASIO4ALL? Can you see if the monitor soundcard shows up in ASIO as well? If you are using ASIO4ALL, it should show all the audio devices available to your computer. If you have more than one selected I've noticed it sometimes only goes out one and although the others are activated it blocks them from being used.

Re: ASIO routing/Audio Interface Issue

I think I've got the problem fixed, I had to disable the other outs and leave only the EIE enabled, like you said. Thanks!!
