Re: Bali

Hey man, cool development! I love Bali. Been there several times.

To be honest the music in Bali isn't electronic orientated. Even grand clubs have live bands who play covers. For some reson this is 'the thing' over there and DJ's being the second best thing.

Then again, Ubud is known for it's more progressive cultural vibe. Lot of local and imported artist reside over there. Also Seminyak is a nice mixture of western/Balinese society and most modern clubs are situated there. You'll find a lot of travelers and western people in Kuta obviously but it's a bit like the Spanish riviera

However EVERY MALE in Bali makes music one way or the other so you'll have no hard time finding people willing to colaborate in one way or the other.

On a side note: In traditional Balinese language there is no word for 'art' as making music, painting and dancing is such an integral part of life it's as common as breathing.

You're gonna have a hell of a time!

PS. If you travel to Gili Trawagan (near Lombok) you can visit a bar called 'Scallywags' which is being run by one the members of UB40
